Mark Richmond, WRM's Technical Director and a Chartered Waste Manager, has seventeen years' experience in waste management. And specific experience in developing waste and recycling strategy, service design, assessing feasibility of recycling services and facilities, and managing procurements, with a particular specialism in food and garden waste collection and treatment. He has advised and managed a number of high profile local authority projects including the largest organic waste treatment contract in the UK for Greater Manchester Combined Authority, and a Design, Build, Finance and Operate (DBFO) contract for Cheshire East Council which involved the development of a £11m council owned asset. Mark also has thorough knowledge and understanding of collection-round design, procurement and optimisation. In addition, Mark has delivered food waste collection feasibility assessments for Leeds City Council, and a consortium of Cleveland Authorities. WRM is a specialist environmental consultancy with technical expertise in strategy, infrastructure and project delivery, and has a track record of advising local authorities in waste strategy and procurement.
