Heather Plumpton

Policy Analyst, Green Alliance

Heather is policy analyst at Green Alliance, an independent UK think tank and charity focused on ambitious leadership for the environment. She is co-author of two reports on the circular economy, 'Critical point: securing the raw materials needed for the UK’s green transition' and 'Circular business: what companies need to make the switch', has been interviewed on Sky News and spoken at panel events on the circular economy.

Prior to this she was an interdisciplinary research fellow at the Walker Institute, University of Reading working on climate adaptation and resilience building in Africa. She completed a fellowship at the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology in 2019 where she wrote a briefing for MPs and peers on climate change and agriculture. Heather has a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Reading and a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
