Smoothing the Circle: drawing together Strands of the Circular Economy
The idea of a circular economy isn’t new; in policy terms, this approach to waste was introduced in Germany in 1972. So why has it taken so long for the idea to become mainstream? We have been carrying out scoping exercises to identify knowledge gaps in Wales’ Agri-food sector. The results have given us an interesting insight into how many strands there are to developing a circular economy and the difficulties in drawing these strands together.
