The competition, now celebrating its tenth year, continues to play a vital role in enhancing a global understanding of the causes, consequences and solutions to climate change, environmental challenges and social inequality.

The 2017 competition boasts a number of exciting, high profile celebrity judges including Ben Fogle, Steve Backshall and Stephen Fry who stated:

“This excellent competition encourages all those with cameras (which is most of us these days, I suppose) to look at our environment with new eyes – to see the environmental impact of things around us, sometimes in the most surprising places. Our cameras can be turned from the narcissistic tool of the selfie into a weapon in the war on environmental destruction.”

How to enter

EPOTY is open to all amateur, national and international photographers of all ages, and is an international showcase for the very best in environmental photography.
