uRecycle recycling of EV/hybrid lithium industrial and portable batteries.
uRecycle established 2006 in Scandinavia now developing its UK facilities & operations.
uRecycle® provides a complete industrial battery recycling service. We offer a client portal, battery collection, ADR-compliant packaging solutions and transport and safe handling guidance.
Our secure service includes all the steps from permit compliance and approval to reporting for customers and authorities - and most importantly, we also provide guidance for safe handling of lithium-ion batteries.
Our ADR-compliant storage and containers are secure and suitable for the packaging of all sizes of industrial batteries for groups I and II. The customer portal offers real-time follow-up for transportation and the complete battery recycling process. This means real-time monitoring and secure management of your property, a required risk assessment and safe packaging and transporting according to the ADR requirements and EU legislation. This process reduces the risk of environmental damage.
uRecycle deals with the phase of the portable battery recycling process that takes place following battery sorting. Once waste batteries have been sorted according to their chemical composition, they are shred in a large shredder. The shredded batteries are then moved along a conveyer belt to a shaker, where they pass through a series of filters. This shredding and refining process results in a product called `black mass`, which contains electrolyte, zinc and manganese oxides and other metals. The black mass is then sold on to industry, where it is utilized in a range of applications.
