Tidy Planet Energy
Tidy Planet Energy is a Waste-to-Energy solutions specialist, providing turnkey equipment for the processing of RDF, SRF, Grade C waste wood, contaminated wastes, organic wastes and compost oversize.
Established in 2001, the Macclesfield-based firm`s Waste-to-Energy (WtE) plants are bespoke to clients` complex waste management needs - no matter how tricky!
From wood fines and CAT 1 International Catering Waste (ICW), to fish mortalities and poultry feathers, the custom-built solutions offer businesses and waste operators a site-based solution to easily process their wastes and use them to produce heat and electricity.
Tidy Planet Energy`s WtE solutions comprise cutting-edge biomass boiler technology from leading specialist Sugimat - which has over 40 years` experience in manufacturing boilers for waste derived fuels - as well as drying technology suppliers including Monts and GAIA.
The largest boiler size in the range, at 50MW, can process up to 10 tonnes an hour of waste - circa 90,000 tonnes per year - while the smallest 300KW boiler can process five tonnes per day.
Tidy Planet has successfully deployed a 1MW WtE RDF boiler at Gatwick Airport which processes the sites RDF into energy which is used by the airport.
The boilers are able to combust wastes with up to 40% moisture content, however if customers have wastes with higher moisture contents, the drying systems can be used to process wastes with up to 90% moisture.
Tidy Planet Energy is focused on offering its solutions to a medium-scale market - as opposed to municipal - for businesses to close their waste management loop themselves. The company also has a B2B vision in mind too - helping to pair up firms which produce waste with sites which require energy, to satisfy both requirements.
In addition, the organisation has a global client base - with customers all over the world using their innovative WtE technologies.
