Our equally innovative and uniquely retro-fittable CCGT CAES technology converts and gives new economic life to gas-fired power stations, reducing emissions, cutting energy costs and adding storage revenues.
Both technologies are simplifications of technologies operating for decades, and use standard off-the-shelf equipment; therefore technical risk is low. They address the entire energy trilemma: the world`s most cost-effective and widely implementable large-scale energy storage technology, turning locally generated renewable energy into dispatchable electricity. Potential to reduce grid connection sizes by half or 2/3. Provides balancing, ancillary and grid stability services, with natural inertia and black start capability. In the future, Storelectric will further develop both these and hybrid technologies, and other geologies for CAES.
