The Green Kitchen Standard helps caterers minimise their environmental impact. Developed as a partnership between Soil Association and The Carbon Trust, The Green Kitchen Standard provides a continuous improvement framework to support reduction in food waste, energy and water usage - saving money and contributing Sustainable Development Goals and Defra's Plan for Public Procurement.
The Green Kitchen Standard criteria allows for kitchens and caterers to deliver continuing improvement through a flexible framework that allows them to make positive change in a way that suits their business.
