RWM 2009 had over 35 industry leaders speaking across the three seminar theatres. The event offered a comprehensive series of programmes which ran over the course of the exhibition.

Topics dealt with ways to re-use and recycle waste and excess materials, transforming these to energy and useful business resources. Interested in seeing ways of recycling and reusing your organisation's energy resources as well as your materials? The Energy and Water Seminar Theatre was introduced for the increasing number of RWM visitors who have responsibility for energy and water resources in addition to their waste and recycling role. Areas covered in 2009 included energy from waste, wastewater reuse, energy and carbon efficiency, climate change and more.
